Turkeys are much harder to hunt than I imagined they would be. I went out in the rain Friday, and started calling… One answered! We kept calling to each other, but he just would not come in closer. After an hour or so, I got up and started off towards him. I found him on the other side of a fence, that was posted, and could do nothing but look at him.

Noah and I both passed our hunter safety course! It was a great course and Dennis Fatar and the rest of the La Crosse Rifle Club members did a great job teaching the course.

Noah and I have been going through hunter safety training for the past couple of weeks. It has been a good course and we have both learned a lot about handling guns safely. I think they are trying to scare safety into the kids!
